Logistics Specialist
The Logistics Specialist serves as the primary driver of revenue for the company by managing all their assigned accounts at a high level. Their primary function is building our brand by establishing a solid rapport with all their points of contact with the goal of building lasting relationships to ensure we are their provider of choice. This includes preparing and submitting bids for all available moves, maintaining regular communication to identify future needs & opportunities, along with consistent follow-up to ensure satisfaction. In addition, they are responsible for maintaining current pricing and regularly communicating all relevant information for their accounts to the Director of Operations.
Primary Responsibilities
• Prepare and submit bids at an acceptable profit margin for all available moves.
• Follow up with the point of contact for all submitted bids.
• Reach out to all assigned accounts on a weekly basis via phone and email.
• Handle incoming calls from accounts and carriers timely and professionally.
• Oversee and coordinate all aspects of awarded moves.
• Work closely with Dispatcher(s) to ensure profitability and superior completion of all moves.
• Develop plans and implement strategies for maintaining accounts.
• Research, set, and maintain accurate pricing to maximize profitability for the company. • Maintain a thorough understanding of the customers' needs.
• Manage day-to-day client communications and relationships.
• Ensure overall customer satisfaction.
• Work with carriers to expand opportunities for clients.
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor(s).
Qualifications
There are not any educational or experience requirements for this position. However, degrees in business administration and sales experience should assist you in achieving a higher level of success more quickly.
Dispatcher
The dispatcher works closely with the Logistics Specialist in driving revenue for the company by ensuring all moves are completed timely, efficiently, and at the desired profit levels. Their primary function is building our brand by effectively communicating our standards and requirements to all carriers for every move. This includes completing all paperwork and load postings with 100% accuracy as well as providing clear and concise instructions to ensure every move exceeds our customers' expectations.
Primary Responsibilities
• Manage the load boards for all available loads (Post, update, and remove).
• Follow up with carriers to ensure all loads are picked up and delivered on-time and to our customers' specifications.
• Handle incoming calls from carriers timely and professionally.
• Assist the Logistics Specialist with coordinating awarded moves.
• Work closely with the Logistics Specialist(s) to ensure profitability and superior completion of all moves.
• Negotiate fearlessly with carriers to maximize profitability.
• Maintain a network of approved carriers to enable viable solutions to our clients’ needs.
• Maintain thoroughly documented load sheets.
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor(s) Job
